Beg/Int Hip Hop Workshop

6-7:30pm. Ages 8+
Hi all! I am 25 years old. I am currently a nursing student at OHSU. I am Mommy to a little boy, James Lincoln. I have taken studio classes from a very young age. I progressed through my amazing mentor, Christy Rogers. I was on South Salem High School’s dance team for 4 years. I assistant coached for 3 and followed as head coach for 3 more. I love all forms of dance but hip-hop is by far my personal favorite.
Int/Advanced Hip Hop Workshop

Jackie Koegel grew up dancing in Iowa and found her love and passion for dance as a member of her high school dance team. Jackie went on to earn a scholarship as a member of the University of Louisville Ladybirds. During this time she became a very sought after performer and choreographer and has worked with numerous professional, college, and high school dance teams. Jackie is the head dance coach of the nationally ranked Southridge Hawkettes in Beaverton, Oregon where her choreography earned them 6th in the nation at UDA Nationals 2016. She is known for her ability to pull the most out of each dancer through her fun, VERY high energy and technically clean choreography.

William Christopher, a native of South Africa, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Cornish College of the Arts, where he worked with directors and choreographers: Patricia Hon, Deborah Wolf, Patricia Lent (MinEvent), Danny Buraczeski (Swing Concerto), Olivier Wevers, Tonya Lockyer, Iyun Harrison, Wade Madsen, Michelle Miller, and Holly Farmer. In his spare time, William teaches middle school and high school students each summer at Thunderbird Dance Camp, where he teaches Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Stretching/Warmups, and also teaches dance team coaches the basics of teaching, leading, injury prevention, strengthening, and correct technique-building routines.

Tag team back again! Allison and Jesus are making their way down from Portland and partnering up for a dynamic and inspiring Int/Adv hip hop workshop. Their style and knowledge of hip hop extends vastly and dancers will leave feeling empowered.
